Dear Patient,

Welcome to NY Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, P.C. We’re glad you found us. We understand you have been in pain for a long time or have a need for a caring minimally invasive surgical approach to your problem.

In evaluating and managing your pelvic pain, we use an approach that is individualized and interdisciplinary. We will continue to communicate and coordinate with doctors you are already seeing. Additionally, you should expect to be referred to other doctors on the interdisciplinary pain management team. This may include anesthesiologists, neurologists, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, gastroenterologists, physical therapists, nutritionists, sex therapists, and acupuncturists.

Upon your first visit, please bring as many records as you can gather. This may include office notes, lab studies, imaging (ultrasound, MRI), operative reports, and pathology reports. You should expect to be in the office for approximately two hours for a very thorough initial evaluation. Please be patient while we work together to make a comprehensive, individualized plan for you. Please refer to the drop down menu on this website with the forms you need to fill out for your first visit (this is for pelvic pain patients only).

If you are coming for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, fibroids, abnormal bleeding, or general gynecology, please bring records that are relevant to your condition.

Most importantly, you should remember, chronic pain often takes a long time to improve significantly. We will work with you in every way possible to present therapies that are acceptable to you and your lifestyle, while we find ways to improve both your general pain and quality of life.
